Built by Hearthstone Homes based out of Dandridge Tennessee, Kent and Midge Merrill realised their dream come true .
And a beautiful 21 acre farm in eastern Tennessee was the perfect place for the Merrill's to retire.
Hand Hewn timbers were joined using traditional Dovetail joinery by Hearthstone Homes craftsmen.
Chinking in between the logs permanently seal the weather out and give that old rustic charm to a new log cottage built in the old traditional way.
Old boards used for cabinetry and timber planking for the flooring bring the real character into this Guest Cottage
Even sandblasting the logs was a technique used to help give an aged look to the logs to create a really original looking been there for a hundred years appearance.
